Hi… I’m Rim
Born and raised overseas, I arrived Australia 20 years ago, I started my journey really young, with nothing more than passion, a laptop and a dream, I’m proud to have created a socially conscious digital company that changes the life of thousands of people worldwide.
How did I get started in all this?”
Everystory has a beginning, and this is where mine started.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been curious about human potential. I wanted to know, what exactly is it that makes people genuinely happy in their careers, successful and fulfilled? Why do some people struggle in business and life while others find a way to thrive, often despite the most challenging circumstances?
I was also passionate about a multitude of seemingly unconnected things: writing, music, entrepreneurship, photography, cinematography, digital marketing, social media, and fitness, just to name a few.
I later learned the term “Multipassionate Entrepreneur” because I didn’t (and never will) fit into a conventional box.
Over the years, I had a busy and a successful digital marketing career while developing my entrepreneurial mindset and building my business from the ground up. I gave up the security of my 9 -5 job and decided to start my own business.
Starting is the most important part in anything you decide to do in your life and the biggest hurdle that most people are facing is lacking technical and practical skills to execute their ideas, and the courage to step outside their comfort zone.
How Rima TV Started
After graduating from uni with a degree in Business and Commerce specialising in Marketing, I realised that there is a huge gap in the market for digital marketing skills, and the gap is even bigger for new graduates who are trying to get an entry level job, the minimum requirements of digital skills for employment is getting higher which makes it hard for university graduates to get their first job. I had to do so many self learning, online courses, and read lots of books to bring my skills to market standard.
I started my own business at the age of 27, which is a digital markeing agency offering strategic marketing services, mostly, digital, to small business, governemnt and non government organisations.
In my 15 years career in digital marketing, I can confidently say that the majority of the skills I learned and mastered where from sources other than university.
Maybe in a few years 99% of marketing jobs will require digital skills, social media skills and creative skills (including minimum coding knowledge).
That was the first spark of Rima TV ..
After working in digital marketing for so many years I realised the next problem, many business owners also lack essential knowledge for digital marketing. Being in the digital world we live in today, it is exteremely important for them to understand how it works, if they want their business to survive and grow in the digital era.
There are two places right now that businesses need to be focusing on to win their marketing game. One is mobile, and the social networks contained within mobile. The second is video.
I created my own blend of digital marketing and social media skills and introduced it in a series of short videos, in my youtube program: Rima TV. Then I realised the need to introduce personal development skills in my program, because I was already interested in personal coaching and because it is an essential success factor both professionally and in business.
A new series of Rima TV was born. The program you see today is the new version of Rima TV, a program dedicated to sharing tools and ideas that will help you learn and grow, both personally and professionally.
Does that mean I have all the answers?
No. I make mistakes, have bad days and get mired in fear and self-doubt, just like the rest of humanity.
But my commitment is to bring you the very best of what I’m living and learning, and keep it real and honest as I go. So please don’t expect perfection, but do expect some creative ideas, timeless wisdom, some funny videos, dedication and devotion.
I believe that you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to succeed in today’s world. So business and digital marketing training alone won’t do it, you need to polish the personal skills too that are unique to YOU. This is what Rima TV is all about: To help you succeed and love your personal and professional life.
I continue to learn new things every day and expand my own ideas about what it means to live a fully creative and meaningful life.
If you’ve read this far, thank you. I hope this is just the beginning of our friendship. And, I’d love to learn more about you.
